Our platform is to help grow a community of stories, using voices just like yours. Those people who have overcome the victim mindset -- if you have overcome a traumatic situation, you are beyond a survivor, you are the restored!
'Our stories matter because they are tied to our history. They are tied to a timeline of ourselves and our family legacy. Without a story, you don't have a history. without a story, you don't have an audience. Without a story, you don’t have influence. ' - Shon Tillman
No matter what you’ve experienced in your life or what you’ve been told in the past, your story matters. These stories from members of our community matter. One story can make a difference. Become part of the movement and take an important step in your journey by joining the Graced to Overcome community today.
People often ask how I was able to survive the trauma I experienced while maintaining my sanity and sense of self. Although it was not easy, I insisted that my experiences did not define me.
Throughout my life, I have been abused, trafficked, beat, raped, molested, and subjected to horrific treatment. But in order to survive and overcome, I had to teach myself that this trauma was not who I was, but what I was going through.
The Graced to Overcome community was formed to create an emotional support network for individuals who are overcoming past trauma. By sharing their stories of success and the lessons they’ve learned along the way, members of this care-based group can feel empowered to live their truth without being defined by their experiences.
Our community was founded on the mindset of care.
By coming together, we extend our reach -- to the person who is next to overcome, to the person who is starting to make the journey through their overcoming process, and to the one who has already journeyed to overcome but who still has a life-long process ahead of them.
We have all put in the work to get here. And we will continue to put in the work to keep us here as overcomers for the rest of our journey.
